Discover the charm of Edinburgh with our personalised walking tours, tailored to suit your schedule and interests. Whether you choose a half-day or full-day experience, our expert guides will meet you at your city centre accommodation and lead you through the fascinating streets of Edinburgh’s Old or New Town.

On a half-day tour, you’ll explore the vibrant history of the city, hearing captivating stories about its characters, architecture, and how life evolved over the centuries. We’ll end the tour at a central landmark of your choice, such as Edinburgh Castle, the National Museum of Scotland, or the Palace of Holyroodhouse, leaving you free to continue your own adventures.

For a full-day tour, we delve deeper into Edinburgh’s treasures, including its stunning Georgian architecture, hidden closes, Harry Potter-inspired locations, and more. There’s also the option to enjoy a guided visit to Edinburgh Castle or the Palace of Holyroodhouse (entry fees not included), giving you an even richer experience of what makes Edinburgh unique.

Both tours are limited to 15 guests, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and highly personalised experience, even during the bustling summer months.

Explore the city’s impressive mural trail, showcasing stunning street art, or step back in time to see the buildings and streets that shaped Glasgow’s 18th-century expansion during its colonial trade era.

For architecture enthusiasts, we can guide you on a Charles Rennie Mackintosh tour, highlighting the iconic works of Glasgow’s most famous architect. Alternatively, indulge in a modern twist with a food and drink-inspired tour, sampling the flavours that make Glasgow a culinary hotspot.

As with all our tours, we limit group sizes to 15 guests to ensure a safe and personalised experience, even during busy times in the city.

Terms & conditions

  • Our rates are based on a standard working day of 8 hours. But our guides can work up to 4 hours overtime which is priced on a case by case basis.
  • Not included in our fee: entrance to sites, food and drink and ferry crossings
  • For extended tours where our guides are required to stay away overnight we charge from £150 per night.
  • A non-refundable booking fee of 20% will be due to confirm the booking with the remainder payable 8 weeks before the start of the tour
  • All payments are non-refundable and we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking to cover any eventual cancellation or postponement
